CIMA Returns to A2IM Indie Week 2017 from June 5-9

CIMA will be returning to New York next week for A2IM’s Indie Week 2017 from June 5-9. Last year, A2IM attracted over 820 delegates, including A2IM members from 24 states and international guests from 18 countries!

A small delegation of CIMA members were invited to participate in A2IM’s business conference with other WIN member delegations from AIM, BureauExport/France Rocks, Music From Ireland, Music Norway and Sounds Australia.

Indie Week partner Reeperbahn will be holding its “New York Edition” showcase on Wednesday, June 7 and will feature international talents including Carnival Youth, We Bless this Mess, Leyya, Lydmor, Albin Lee Meldau, Olivier St Louis and Canada’s own Megan Bonnell.

Leonty Creative & Consulting Corp
The moment she was able to reach the piano bench, Rose climbed up and began to play and compose. The daughter of a classical pianist, and the granddaughter of an Austrian composer, music is both part of her DNA and her spirit. Leonty’s mission is inspire harmony. She was mentored by several producers in Vancouver, Canada, and is known as Rose Reiter for her heartfelt soft-pop. Her soulful voice touches the heart and her songs lift the spirit and bring out our inner strength.  After several albums and projects over the years, she began to compose and produce for multiple genres, screen projects and created her new brand, LEONTY. As a professional vocalist, producer, and award-winning screen composer, Rose also designed a team of music professionals who work with her on screen projects, bringing scripts and scenes to life. Leonty is releasing a new studio album late June 2017,  and she is focused on licensing and publishing as well as getting ready to book shows to promote her upcoming album. She’s released 2 solo albums and worked on over a dozen other albums with several indie artists and labels.

Joanna Killen, CEO, has been an economic developer, led sales/marketing strategies has pursued above all, to support the community’s development by getting our small/legacy businesses sales-ready for bigger markets. Having a musical past herself, she developed a group within Momentum to pursue opportunities for her Atlantic Canadian Music Industry clients.

Six Shooter is a label, artist management, and festival production company based in Toronto & Nashville. As Head of Licensing & Publishing, Kim Temple pursues music placement opportunities in film & television, digital content and the commercial industry. She also creates new opportunities for clients in the world of songwriting collaborations in Los Angeles. With 20+ years of experience in Canada’s music industry her varied background includes touring internationally as a professional drummer, as well as managing international royalty collections for film & TV composers, artists and publishers. She is a Juno-nominated musician.
