The nominees have been announced for this year’s iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards, to be held at Much Music’s 299 Queen Street headquarters one month from now.
Airing for the first time under its new name, the national awards show will be simulcast on CTV, Much Music and Bell’s new Francophone network, VRAK TV.
The 2016 nominees include first-time MMVA candidates the Strumbellas, as well as SonReal (whose ‘Woah Nilly’ was one of 23 videos supported this year through $530,000 worth of MuchFACT funding).
Much rebranded its long-running awards show the iHeartRadio MMVAs, following Bell Media‘s partnership with iHeartMedia in early 2016. The partnership will enable Canadian audiences to access Bell’s full range of broadcast and digital radio content over mobile, smartphone, tablet, gaming and wearable devices.
