Congrats to the 2018 Juno Award Winners!

The 2018 Juno Awards wrapped up last night, and CIMA would like to extend our congratulations to the winners! Canada’s independent music industry was well-represented with a total of 164 nominations. Out of the 42 awards received this weekend, 28 Junos were associated with the work of a Canadian independent label.


The Independent Label Breakdown

Nominations: 

Total nominations: 220

164 independent associated nominees (75%)

56 major label nominees (25%)

Winners:

28 of the winners were associated with an independent label

14 were solely majors

66.6% of the winners were associated with an independent label
