With this week’s GRAMMY awards all wrapped up, it’s hard not to be proud of Canada. As we noted last week, a large number of nominees in major categories were Canadian. This made it an extremely special year for CIMA’s annual pre-GRAMMY showcase, held at the Canadian Consulate in Los Angeles. The event was produced in partnership with Radio Starmaker, SOCAN, AVLA, Canadian Music Week, Harvard Broadcasting and Music Managers Forum Canada.
We weren’t the only ones who thought so too; City News was on hand to document the festivities. Click the picture below to watch their coverage.
We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the Canadian consulate for hosting, to City TV for covering the event, to the Ontario Media Development Corporation, FACTOR and the Government of Canada for providing support, to Delhi 2 Dublin, Groenland, Rich Aucoin and Buck 65 for providing some show-stopping performances, and to everyone who showed their support for Canadian music by attending. We’re already looking forward to next year
