Indie Week Canada – October 15-19, 2014 – Toronto, Ontario

MusicOntario’s Marketing & Events Coordinator, Emy Stantcheva, will be sitting on their Indie 101 Demo Listening Panel on Thursday, October 16th at 3:30PM. For more info, visit http://www.indie101.com/. 

Indie 101 info: Indie Week Canada is presenting Indie101, a conference consisting of educational panels focusing on music, film, and tech, from October 15th to October 19th 2014. Participants including labels, booking agents, promoters, artist managers, artists, venues, music tech companies, producers, publishers, songwriters, and media will be presented with the tools and knowledge to build their profile in the business and put them face-to-face with the forward-thinkers who shape the entertainment industries.

Folk Music Ontario – October 16-19, 2014 -Toronto

The Folk Music Ontario conference is the key event for Ontario’s folk, roots, and traditional music community. The 28th annual conference will take place October 16-19, 2014, at the Westin Bristol Place, 950 Dixon Road, Toronto, ON.

“Project Management: The Great Juggling Act”

A successful independent entrepreneur has to wear many hats while traversing the business of music, and often at the same time. It’s a demanding, fast-paced industry loaded with curveballs. Learn how the pros manage their time, prioritize and execute tasks, and how artists can optimize their working relationships with them. This panel is presented with Work In Culture.

5:00pm-6:30pm: Networking reception for participants and local music industry/arts community in the hotel Atrium
