Catch Canada’s Best Breaking Bands in Brighton May 2015
Music Export Canada returns to Brighton this spring with Canada’s best breaking musicians in tow for the Great Escape Festival May 14-16. Their much esteemed ‘Canadian Blast’ showcase initiative will once again present the cream of Canada’s emerging independent music scene to excited music fans and industry folk alike, to the backdrop of Brighton’s pebbled shores.
All acts have been handpicked by TGE for their rising popularity at home, media praise and potential to make waves in the UK.
For the Great Escape this year the Canadian Blast moves to a larger venue and will be stationed at the characteristic Green Door Store – to be known as ‘Canada House’ – over the full weekend.
The annual Great Escape Festival is the UK’s premier showcase platform for emerging musicians, giving the opportunity to showcase, network and schmooze with labels, festival bookers, publishers, PRs, pluggers and representatives from all over the music industry.
An essential event on the calendar, TGE helps companies like CIMA connect to the UK and wider global music industry.
The Canadian independent music industry has a respected reputation for developing its talent. Music Export Canada and CIMA spearhead this by providing international export, showcase, b2b, networking and marketing opportunities and support to Canadian music companies and artists.
Past performers at the Canadian Blast have gone on to sign record deals, tour the UK’s gig circuit, perform at festivals and gain coverage from the UKs top music press. With the current crop of exceptional talent due to perform at the Blast this year, these successes are sure to continue…
