We’d like to sincerely congratulate Trisha Carter on her new role as CIMA’s Music Export Manager. This brand new position was created to bring more focus on the planning, coordination and execution of CIMA’s global music export service, soon to be rebranded as Music Export Canada, which delivers the international business and showcasing events, Canadian Blast.
Trisha has been a part of the CIMA family for almost 18 years, working in various roles over that time to diligently serve the membership. Since 2006, Trisha has been CIMA’s IT/Website Manager, where she implemented and managed various web, event and membership management systems, including overseeing the creation and upgrades of CIMA and Canadian Blast websites. In addition, Trisha has been intimately involved in the planning and execution of CIMA’s numerous exporting missions throughout the years. She has liaised with all of our export representatives and many of the international festival coordinators to assist in the planning of these missions, including registration, graphic coordination, post-event surveys, and working with the CIMA Talent Committee, to help coordinate the showcase submissions. In her new role, Trisha will be focusing solely on the planning and execution of CIMA’s music trade missions around the world, such as SXSW, The Great Escape, BIGSOUND, and many more.
“Nothing makes me happier than seeing the positive results our members obtain from participating in our missions,” says Trisha. “We are so proud to see our members succeed. I am very excited about this new role and look forward to helping our Canadian indie scene flourish even more in the future.”
Trisha is a very passionate music fan with a love of vinyl, who sometimes likes to pretend to be a “real” musician behind the scenes at home, jamming on keyboards or bass guitar with her musician friends and family.
